Install the app in under 3 minutes. Grant location and microphone access. That is the only setup required to activate baseline protection.

Add your trusted circle

Add up to 5 emergency contacts. Each receives a one-click onboarding SMS — they do not need to install Raksha to receive your alerts.

Set your SOS trigger method

Choose how you activate SOS: triple power press, volume shake, or a hidden in-app panic button. The trigger works even with the screen off and phone locked.

Raksha monitors silently

Running quietly in the background, Raksha checks your movement patterns, monitors for threat signals, and stays ready to fire in 300ms — consuming under 1% battery per hour.

SOS triggered — alerts fire

Your contacts receive simultaneous push notification, SMS with Google Maps link, and an automated phone call with your recorded audio. All within 5 seconds of the trigger.

Mark yourself safe

When the situation is resolved, log back in and tap "I am safe." Your contacts are notified, the recording stops, and Raksha returns to silent monitoring mode.

Yes. Raksha uses SMS as a fallback when mobile data is unavailable. Location accuracy may be reduced to cell-tower triangulation, but alerts will still fire.

Absolutely. The triple power-press trigger is handled at the OS level and does not require the phone to be unlocked.

No. Contacts are only contacted during a genuine SOS event. They receive a single onboarding message when added, and then silence — until you need them.

Location logs are retained for 72 hours for potential law enforcement use, then permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion from within the app settings.
