At Raksha, your privacy and physical safety are our absolute highest priorities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use the Raksha application and Safety Card.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide emergency safety services:
- Personal Information: Name, phone number, and email address used for registration and verifiable distress signals.
- Emergency Contacts: The phone numbers of the trusted contacts you explicitly nominate to receive SOS alerts.
- Location Data: Your precise GPS location is only tracked and transmitted when you actively trigger an SOS alert via the app or Safety Card. We do not track your location in the background otherwise.
- Device Information: Bluetooth status and pairing data for the Raksha Safety Card to ensure reliable connectivity.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to facilitate your safety:
- To transmit instant, accurate SOS alerts containing your location and audio status to your emergency contacts.
- To process pre-orders securely via Razorpay (we do not store your credit card information).
- To improve the reliability and speed of the Raksha platform.
3. Data Sharing and Security
We do not sell your personal data. Your emergency triggers are encrypted end-to-end. We may only disclose your location data to local law enforcement or emergency services during a verified active SOS alert if legally required or specifically requested by you to ensure your safety.
4. Your Controls and Rights
You have full control over your data. You may delete your account, wipe your emergency contacts, and disconnect your Safety Card at any time through the Raksha app settings. Doing so instantly removes your personally identifiable information from our active servers.
