Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Raksha. By using the Raksha application, website, and hardware products (including the Raksha Safety Card), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. The Service
Raksha provides software and hardware tools designed to assist in emergency situations by alerting user-nominated contacts. Raksha DOES NOT guarantee emergency response, physical intervention, or immunity from harm. It is a communication tool designed to supplement, not replace, traditional emergency services like 112/911.
2. User Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate contact information for yourself and your nominated emergency contacts.
- Ensure your emergency contacts have consented to receive automated SOS SMS and phone calls from the Raksha system.
- Maintain sufficient battery level on your smartphone and Raksha Safety Card.
- Keep Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone to ensure the Safety Card functions properly.
- Not misuse the SOS feature to generate false alarms.
3. Hardware Limitations (Safety Card)
The Raksha Safety Card relies on a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection to your smartphone. If your smartphone is out of range, dead, or has no internet/cellular connectivity, the Safety Card cannot transmit an alert to the cloud. You acknowledge and accept this technical limitation.
4. Pre-Orders and Hardware Sales
All pre-orders placed for the Raksha Safety Card are subject to manufacturing and shipping timelines, currently estimated at 4–6 weeks. Prices are subject to change. Payment processing is handled securely by third-party gateways (e.g., Razorpay).
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Raksha (its creators, employees, and affiliates) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including hardware failure, software bugs, or network outages during an emergency.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India.
